Igor Leonidovich Teologov (born on February 26, 1967, Moscow) — a Russian statesperson and social activist, entrepreneur, blogger, journalist, and sponsor. A deputy of the municipal assembly in the district of Vykhino-Zhulebino (1999 to 2017). The leader of the municipality of Vykhino-Zhulebino in the city of Moscow (2014 to 2017) A deputy chairman of the municipal assembly in the district of Vykhino-Zhulebino. Ph.D. in economics.

Biography[edit]

Born on February 26, 1967, in Moscow, in the family of Leonid Aleksandrovich Teologov (August 12, 1933, to March 29, 2008), an engineer, and Alevtina Pavlovna Teologova (maiden surname: Smertina), a dental practitioner (born on August 20, 1931).

Education[edit]

In 1980, finished Children's Music School No. 39 (now M.A. Balakirev Children's School of Arts) specializing in the accordion.

In 1984, finished high school No. 394 in Volgogradsky District of the city of Moscow and enrolled for a full-time course at Moscow Power Engineering Institute.

From 1987 to 1989, did military service in the Soviet Army. Graduated from MPEI in 1993 majoring in “heat power engineering”.

Graduated from Slavic Institute of Economics majoring in “economy and arrangements for manufacturing operations” (diploma with honors) in 2002 and from Moscow Institute of Economics majoring in “accounting, analysis, and audit) (diploma with honors).

In 2004, defended his PhD thesis on “Innovative Development Methods for a Construction Company’s Investment Infrastructure” (PhD in economics). Author of a number of scientific articles and a booklet titled “Forming a Company’s Investment Infrastructure”.

In 2015, graduated from the graduate school of the State University of Management majoring in “legal studies”.

Business career[edit]

In 1991, Igor Teologov co-founded his first business company, a factory of toys named Tetraeder.

In 1995, opened Tin-avto LLC, a network of car washes and car service shops.

In 2000, Igor Teologov got busy with environmental issues and founded “Environmental Factor Foundation”, a non-profit organization, in the same year. In 2001, the publishing of a city newspaper, “Environmental Factor”, started in which he is the founder and editor-in-chief. In 2002, Teologov established Environmental Factor LLC. 2009 saw the establishment of Environmental Factor MC and Vykhino District DEZ LLC MC providing apartment building management services in the district of Vykhino-Zhulebino. Teologov carries out charity work and is a philanthropist. In the spring of 2016, he provided funds to build a Temple of Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God in Vykhino.

In 2017, opened TEO-TV, a Moscow TV channel, with its name derived from the founder's surname. Based on the results of 2019, TEO-TV was included in the TOP 50 persons and brands according to Business Aurora Award as the best information and entertainment TV channel. In 2019, a film produced by the channel won at the television festival “The Territory of Good News”, and the channel itself won a prize at the international film festival “Love in Every Heart”. In 2021, as the general producer of TEO-TV, received awards in the nominations of “Best TV Producer 2021”, “Best TV Company Manager” from Alusso Event Awards.

Politics and public activities[edit]

In 1999, he was elected as a deputy to the municipal assembly of the district of Vykhino-Zhulebino. He used to be a member of various commissions (for the sanitary condition of the district, the budget, the intended use of land, and the media), and for many years he was the chairman of the environmental commission. At his initiative, an environmental commission of the district of Vykhino-Zhulebino was appointed.

In June 2012, he was elected as an Acting Head of the Vykhino-Zhulebino Intra-Urban Municipality in the city of Moscow. He served as the head of the municipality from 2012 to 2018, when he was succeeded by Georghy Mestergazi, working on a pro bono basis. For his work as the head of the municipal district, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Moscow Council of Municipal Entities.

  • From 2012 to 2015, a member of the commission for deputy initiatives at the Moscow Council of Municipal Entities.
  • Since 2016, a member of the Moscow Union of Journalists.
