Ikechukwu Sunday Cross Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, is a fitness enthusiast and entrepreneur who describes himself as “a bad boy with a good heart”. He sees himself as fun loving, spontaneous and a good dancer who wears his heart on his sleeves.[1]
Ikechukwu Sunday Cross Okonkwo was born on July 8th, 1990 in Kano, Nigeria and the first of six children to Mr. and Mrs. Okonkwo[2]. He attended his basic school in Oba, Nigeria. His father was assassinated when he was 15 years old, and after a botched kidnapping and two failed attempts to murder him, his mother sought asylum in Canada and moved the family there.
He attended University of Hull in the United Kingdom, but quit in the third year to pursue full time football. After a life threatening knee injury, he was advised by doctors to stop playing football. He then ventured into business and became a serial entrepreneur making strides in the Oil and Gas industry, Construction, Health, with hus nutrition products called Cross Fitness Nutrition and the Hospitality Industry with the establishment of a Hotel named CrossView, and currently the co-owner of a restaurant in Abuja called Gemhouse.[3]
