Illinois Blue Book

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Blue Book is released by the Secretary of State of Illinois every 2 years.

The Illinois Blue Book is an official government manual and reference source for the U.S. state of Illinois, published by the Secretary of State of Illinois.[1] It is published on a biennial basis.

Originating in 1861 as a privately published roster of legislators, the manual was first officially published by the Secretary of State's office in 1900. Its contents provide comprehensive data on the executive, judicial, and legislative branches of the state government. This includes official portraits and biographies of senior state officials, members of the Illinois General Assembly, Illinois Supreme Court justices, and representatives in the United States Congress.[2]

The publication also contains information regarding state agencies, public universities, education systems, and local municipalities. It also features directories for Illinois news media, election results, state and local government facts, statistical data, historical articles, and the complete text of the Constitution of Illinois.[3]
