Ilmari Rostila (born 1950) is a Finnish Emeritus Professor of Social work,[1] has a doctorate in Social studies and served as the Head of Tampere University's Pori Unit from 2004 to 2006.[2] He is the chairman of the Finns Party of the City Council of Tampere, along with being the chairman of the Association of Finnish Culture and Identity.[3]
He is a vehemently opposed to Mandatory Swedish, thinking that learning Swedish is a waste of time due to the lack of efficiency in the language that most Finns have after having learned their mandatory Swedish.[4]
