Dontai Anthony Ethridge, also known as ImDontai, is an American YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and rapper. He has gained popularity from his reaction videos and his friendship with American rapper XXXTentacion. He currently has approximately around 6.29 million subscribers across his three Youtube channels: ImDontai, ImStillDontai, and ImDontai Gaming. He also released Hip-Hop albums including Unburden and Haphazard.[1]

Early life[edit]
In the first few years in his life, he lived with his grandparents in New Jersey. In kindergarten he moved back to Norfolk with his mother and three sisters.[2]
Career[edit]
After dropping out of college, he started posting videos on YouTube.He started with "Jerking" videos on the ImDontai Gaming channel. He later deleted those videos to focus on gaming. After a while, he started posting reaction videos, reacting to music, primarily hip-hop. His reaction video really started to gain traction and after XXXTentacion content, Jahseh reached out to Dontai.[3] On January 11th, 2018, ImDontai went live on YouTube playing Fortnite with XXXTentacion. The live stream has currently 6.5 million views and is his most viewed video on his gaming channel. This live stream also boost his popularity due to X reposting it. Dontai was mentioned in XXXTentacion & Joey Bada$$ single "King's Dead Freestyle". Dontai used the snippet of the song in his YouTube intro. Before meeting X, he knew Sad Frosty, another rapper. He often met Frosty in person and filmed content. In 2020, just shy of the pandemic, he start streaming on Twitch. He then would clip parts of his stream and post it onto the ImStillDontai YouTube channel. He would play popular games such as Among Us, Grand Theft Auto V, and Mafia. He currently has 1.73 million Twitch followers. Dontai's agenda is streaming daily starting at 6pm EST. He doesn't go live occasionally because of personal reasons and/or being away from home.[4] He is apart of the group, SomeBros, where they game and vlog together.[5]
ImDontai is also a musical artist. He started releasing music in 2016 with the ep "Early Stages" and his latest ep being "1992" which was released in 2022.[6]
Personal life[edit]
Dontai is friends with fellow streamers such as JoJoThaMofo, Kai Cenat, and Berleezy. He was also friends with late rappers Sad Frosty and XXXTentacion. In August 2020, he married a woman named Danielle.[7] In 2023, his son, Damir, was born.[8]Dontai was inspired by Chris Tucker and Jim Carrey. He get his humor from Tucker. He dressed Tucker before because people saw that he and Tucker look alike.
