In the Face of Death is a 2024 American psychological horror film directed by Dorian Lee from a screenplay by STS Films. It’s about a young son of a detective who is caught in the crossfire between the half-corrupted police and the newly arisen drug lord that goes by J. Everyone in the city, even the city's top gangsters, seems afraid of this new kid on the block, and young David is determined to find out why. And through killed friends and a stolen love, will he ever find his answers?
19 year old David Riley Nicholas Walker, son of Michael Riley (TBD), stumbles upon a case file that was hidden in his drunken father’s stacks of papers sitting on his desk. In looking through these files, he learned that his father was investigating several police officers who are accused of accepting bribes from a local gangster, The Clown, or J (Dorian Lee). Not much is known about J Dorian Lee, except that no one knows anything about him. He’s hidden constantly behind a grotesque mask, a cigarette, and a group of women and armed men. Despite how little is known, he runs nearly half of the drug trade in the city, frequently hitting rival gangsters and drug traffickers, but without leaving a single trace, except for the carving of their faces into a twisted smile. David, despite his father’s wishes, keeps pushing to find this criminal and expose him. It costs him the lives of his loved ones, and it may even cost him the thing he loves the most. But that won’t stop him from putting down this psychopath. Yet despite his determination, he falls for the traps set by the clown due to his naivety, and though he mortally wounds the mobster, he loses his own life.
