In the Harbour of Days (1970s) is a collection of poems written by Algerian author Ahlam Mosteghanemi, her first poetry collection that she dedicated to her father.[1][2]

In the Harbour of Days describes the author's personal experiences including friendships, love, and war, along with several references to her country's situation during the time it was written in
The ideas that Mostaghenami expressed while writing is how she "refused taking short paths" and "she will never give up", in addition to her desire for "bringing back a pearl from the seas to her homeland" hinting to her dismay towards Algeria's situation during a certain period.
Moreover, she expresses her anger towards "how she receives backlash" when she shows her "love towards life and remains a fighter", in addition to her desire for "making the days for the generations better, and even when she dies, she knows her aftermaths of her efforts would remain".
Mostaghenmi also tends to illustrate the feelings of love, disappointments, and betrayals in her poems, describing "how much she misses her love".
In addition, she describes the feelings of strongness and weakness towards handling different situations, by comparing them to being on an "unsinkable ship continuing along the way despite the obstacles".
Other ideas also include Mostaghenami expressing her anger towards how "writers and revolutionists receive no attention towards their protests and ideas", along with the "amount of love one can have towards a dead person as they would be considered more important than the entire space of this earth".
