Summary[edit]

Inc. 5000 is a list of the fastest-growing businesses in America published by Inc. Magazine. To be considered for the list, the companies have to "be independent, privately-owned, domiciled in the United States, and meet certain revenue thresholds."[1]

History[edit]

The New York based company was founded in 1979.[2] Inc. Magazine was founded by Bernie Goldhirsh, an MIT trained engineer,[3] but the Inc. 5000 list began in 1982 and has been published every year since then.[4]
