The Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence, or IIAI, is an AI research company that was established in early 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.[1][2] The company focuses on research in various fields of AI, including both fundamental (deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing) and applied AI (healthcare, security, mobility]).[1] IIAI was also the incubator of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and continues to be an important partner.[1][3]

History

IIAI was founded in early 2018 by Professor Ling Shao.[1] The institute has since grown to employ over 100 scientists and engineers from various disciplines,[4] and has become a predominant AI research company in the region.[2]

IIAI works with both private and government sectors across various fields.

IIAI has over 300 publications in renowned journals and conferences, including CVPR,[16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24] ICCV,[25][26][27][28] ECCV[29][30] and TPAMI.[31][32][33][34][35] The company also holds many patents.[36]
