History
The Independent Artist Awards are in award ceremony to help new artist and underground artist to be recognized. The first ceremony was in 2019 under the name of Artist Media Awards, later got bought out by Strawberry Records.. The name is Independent Artist Awards and there first annual ceremony will be awarded on April 10th 2022. The categories are Record of the year, Best new Artist, Best rap album, Best pop song. Best electronic song Best rap song Best pop album. They currently use bandlab as a way to find nominees and thats the only social media they have so far.
Voting
The voting is done within a Committee via zoom since covid started. The Committee member's and they all make the vote the nominee with the most votes wins the award.
Certifications
The IAA has an certification system called IAC(Independent Artist Certifications) this system is used to make underground artist have certifications such as Bronze, Gold,Platinum, Diamond. Bronze is 100 streams on bandlab Gold is 1,000 streams platinum is 10,000 streams and gold is 30,000 streams.
