Independent Urdu
Independent Urdu is the Urdu version of the renowned British newspaper The Independent. It strives to provide its readers with news content that is both reliable and engaging, so that they can better understand issues facing their local communities in a global context. Independent Urdu is a news website in the Urdu language and part of the famous British news organization The Independent. [1] Independent Urdu is one of four regional language websites and is set up in partnership with Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG). Famous journalist Haroon Rashid is the managing editor of Independent Urdu, while veteran journalist Baker Atyani is the editor-in-chief.[2] A group of well-known and experienced journalists is working for the website, including Zafar Syed and Zaheer ud Din Babar. Independent Urdu is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The website offers news, insight, and analysis on global affairs and local events. In addition, the website features translated articles from independent.co.uk alongside content from teams of SRMG journalists based in major cities across Pakistan. Independent Urdu is owned and operated by SRMG.
