Indian Runner are an English Alternative Rock / Indie Rock band that formed in 1994 in the South of England by singer Brett Dickinson (Musician), guitarist Peter Faulkes, drummer Benjamin (Benny) Reed and bass guitarist Andy Peterson who was later replaced by Mark Witter.
History[edit]
""Indian Runner"" were one of the first bands signed to V2 Records circa 1996 along with Stereophonics and Skunk Anansie riding the end of the Britpop wave.
At the height of their popularity between 1996 and 1998 Indian Runner toured Europe with several mainstream artists of that time such as Shed Seven, Mansun, Garbage and The Bluetones. Indian Runner also played at the 1998 Reading Festival.
After several chart releases and extensive touring, Indian Runner split in 1998 following an altercation on tour in Belgium between Mark Witter and their Manager Stephen Crook, which led to them being dropped by V2 Records.
