Indie Dog is a South African indie rock band consisting of members: Sebastian Howarth (vocals, rhythm guitar), Kian Murray (lead guitar), Dylan "Yak" Anceriz (bass guitar) and Romaine "Rome" Soobramoney (drums).

Formation [1][edit]

Indie Dog was started in April 2018 by Sebastian Howarth who had been performing as a solo singer/songwriter during the 5 years prior to the bands formation. Sebastian met former band member and drummer Sheldon Horvatic after a show he had performed at Hard Rock Cafe Sandton, where they agreed to form Indie Dog. Horvatic brought in bassist Dylan "Yak" Anceriz, who in turn got Kian Murray to join. After Sheldon got an opportunity to work abroad in October 2018 he left Indie Dog, opening the door for a new drummer. Romaine Soobramoney was suggested to Sebastian by a childhood friend of his. Romaine joined shortly after Sheldon left, initially to cover the drummer position for shows they had already booked and could not cancel. He then stayed on to become a permanent member of the band.
