Indietopia Games is a Dutch video game publisher based in Groningen, set up to be an indie publisher for small indie game studios that have a hard time selling their games.[1]
History
Founding (2014)
The publishing label was founded by Mendel Bouman [2] and Shan Ying Poon [3] in 2014 after Mendel Bouman set up the Indietopia hub where he discovered that the regional indie game studios were in need of publishing help. Mendel Bouman teamed up with game marketeer Shan Poon, who used to work for Two Tribes B.V. in the years before founding the publishing label.[4] [5] [6]
Pulstar (2014), first release
Indietopia Games first released Pulstar on June 11th, 2014 on Steam. It sold between 20,000 and 50,000 units.[7]
Convoy (video game) 2015
Indietopia Games' biggest hit up to date seems to be Convoy [8], which sold between 100,000 and 200,000 units in its lifetime based on information from Steamspy.[9]
