Infinimesh, Inc., is a German Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) start-up, incorporated in 2019 in Dover, Delaware (USA)..[1] It is providing the infinimesh IoT platform focused on powering large fleets of smart devices for industrial use cases as well as smart building solutions (infinimesh supports BACnet). The company was founded by Alex Alten-Lorenz (CEO), Johannes Brüderl (CTO), and Florian Grünwald (COO), who have all been working at the European energy corporation E.ON.
The platform is fully Open Source, mainly based on Kubernetes, Apache Kafka®, and Dgraph, and is available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) but can also be installed in a data center. Its business focus is on Industrial IoT (IIoT) and connected buildings, but the platform can also be used by the maker community. To enable small businesses, makers, industrial partners, and customers, infinimesh offers a free-to-use Software-as-a-Service via Google Cloud, through which everyone can connect their systems to test proof of concepts without needing strong technical experience.
The software uses cloud-native technologies and is built on an open, patent-free system.[2]
