Selected key projects[edit]

Public Space/Two Audiences: Works and Documents from the Herbert Collection. Inventaire, 2006[edit]

Ketelers has worked extensively with the Herbert Foundation, a private art collection of Anton and Annick Herbert in Ghent, which consists mostly of artworks from the Conceptual art, Minimalism and Arte Povera movements. Their collaboration began in 2003 when Anton Herbert asked her to collaborate on the occasion of a presentation of works from Jan Vercruysse, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Martin Kippenberger at Annick and Anton Herbert’s home, October 2003.

The second collaboration started in 2004 when Anton Herbert asked her to work on a book about his collection; on the occasion of the exhibitions at MACBA (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona), Spain and Kunsthaus Graz, Austria, titled Public Space/Two Audiences. Works and Documents from the Herbert Collection. From the beginning it was clear that the book should be an independent publication, separate from the exhibitions which were scheduled for 2006. This meant that the documents and works in the book were presented in a different sequence with its own structure and accents. The book was a kind of ‘second show’, giving the artists’ books and ephemera (small printed matter) in the collection the same attention as the larger artworks. Ketelers worked with the material from the enormous collection archive but was also involved in editing the choice of works and images included, and art directing photo shoots to document the works. Their work resulted in a 432-page book which was published in three editions and in three languages. Ketelers has since worked on over twenty projects with The Herbert Foundation, designing everything from websites to books and posters.[6]

Bimonthly art journal De Witte Raaf, on-going since January 2006[edit]

De Witte Raaf is a newspaper on recent and contemporary art, freely distributed in Belgium and The Netherlands. Notorious for its extensive writing and thorough and keen art historical information and research. The focus of Keteler's design was on headlines, typeface and readability. The typeface is Photina, designed by José Mendoza y Almeida (1926) in 1972. It is characterised by an economical use of space combined with high legibility. It has an even-colored grey tone which makes the spreads of De Witte Raaf accessible and easy to read.
