Injurwii
An Injurwii, or Wiinjury is a colloquialism that was first coined by PL Black and the technologist RB Korngold to describe an injury sustained from gaming on a Nintendo Wii, or other physical gaming device such as an Xbox Kinect.
The phrase was created after over-exuberant post-Christmas use, which sustained an injury to a participant during use of Just Dance 2 worthy of requiring medical care. This is for gaming participants, which up until recently has been a passive activity.
There are many reports of various injuries sustained by gaming, to the extent that there have been web sites dedicated to the matter.[1]
As well, an Injurwii may be sustained to the television being utilised, mostly due to remotes leaving the participant's hand during play. Companies have created specific devices to protect against such damage[2]
