Inkswel
Inkswel (born Julian Habib) is an Australian electronic music producer,[1] DJ and owner of Innertribe Records.[2] Inkswel is best known for his work in hip hop, neo soul and house music genres as a composer, producer, remix artist and DJ.
His 2016 album Unity 4 Utopia was rated 3.5/5.[3]
Past collaborators include Talib Kweli,[4] Lee "Scratch" Perry,[5] Mr. Scruff,[6] BluRum13,[7] Atjazz,[8] Lance Ferguson,[4] Amp Fiddler,[4] DJ Vadim,[4] Colonel Red,[9] Mista Monk,[10] Pugs Atomz,[11] Freekwency,[12] and Merwyn.[13]
Inkswel is married to singer and producer, Erin Buku. The pair previously performed and produced music together as Planetself.[14] Inkswel has lived in Europe, toured globally, and released music on numerous labels before starting his own in 2020. He often uses vintage drum machines and low-resolution samples in his music productions.[15]
