The film has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on five reviews.[4]

Anna Smith of Deadline Hollywood gave the film a positive review and wrote, "Ultimately, Inland may raise more questions than it answers, but it’s a remarkable calling card with performances to savor."[5]

Nikki Baughan of Screen International also gave the film a positive review and wrote, "...the writer/director’s arresting visual language lifts it out of a potential narrative quagmire."[1]
