InnerCamp is an international organization that provides training and conducts research in holistic therapies.[1][2] Founded in 2018 by Alexis Alcalá, InnerCamp offers programs in areas such as breathwork, bodywork, energy healing, and trauma-informed practices.

History

InnerCamp was established in 2018 by Alexis Alcalá, a practitioner of breathwork and somatic therapy.[3][4][5][2][6][7] Initially offering online breathwork sessions, the organization later expanded to provide training programs that combine traditional healing methods with elements of somatic psychology and neuroscience.

InnerCamp offers a method it refers to as Holosomatic Therapy®, which combines breathwork, somatic movement, bodywork, energy practices, trauma release techniques, and concepts from neuroscience.[8][9][10] The approach incorporates elements from Polyvagal Theory, interoception research, and Taoist practices.[2]

The organization offers educational programs and retreats in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Training is delivered through online modules, live virtual sessions, and in-person workshops in locations such as Spain, the United Kingdom, and Mexico.[11][12]

In 2021, InnerCamp launched a research division focused on studying the scientific basis of the therapies it teaches.

InnerCamp is a registered training provider with the Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and an accredited member of the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF).[13] Its courses are certified by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification service.[14][15]

A feature in Sass Magazine described InnerCamp’s Tantra retreats as promoting personal development and self-confidence, particularly among women participants..[16][17] Mantra Magazine has noted the organization’s emphasis on body awareness and self-exploration in its programs, including breathwork and Tantra.[18]

InnerCamp has received several industry awards, including:[19][20]

  • Global Health & Pharma (GHP) Awards (2022)
