From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Inprocess Technology and Consulting Group, S.L.U. (commonly known as Inprocess) is an international company founded in 2006 and headquartered in Barcelona, Spain. It’s an engineering company that provides simulation-based solutions for the hydrocarbon and chemical processing industries, including operator training simulators (OTS), process digital twins, dynamic simulation studies, flare system analysis and flow assurance studies, among others. Inprocess works with clients in different sectors of the industry such as oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals, fertilizers, carbon capture and renewable energy.[1] [2]

History

Inprocess was established in Barcelona in 2006 as a specialized engineering consultancy focused on process simulation technologies. In the following years, Inprocess expanded internationally until achieving presence in all the current offices: Spain, United States, Malaysia, Brazil, Emirates and India.

In 2025, the company reported approximately 165 professionals, primarily engineers, and recorded revenues exceeding €15 million.

In February 2026, the Portuguese engineering and consulting group Quadrante acquired Inprocess as part of its strategy to expand its digital twin and process simulation section. Following the acquisition, Inprocess maintained its own management and became part of Quadrante’s “digital twins” portfolio.[3] [4]

Notable projects

In 2022, the global Japanese supplier and operator awarded Inprocess the development of an Emulated Operator Training Simulator (OTS) solution for a new Brazilian FPSO vessel bound. This project was the sixth MODEC-operated FPSO using an Inprocess OTS.[5]

In 2026, Stockholm Exergi, the Swedish energy company, started the project of building one of the world’s largest facilities for removing carbon dioxide from atmosphere. To ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation, the company selected in March 2026 Inprocess for the development of an Operator Training Simulator (OTS) for this new facility, Beccs Stokholm.[6][7]

Industry participation

Inprocess participates regularly in international technical conferences and industry forums related to process simulation, digitalization and offshore energy. The company is Foundation Partner at the FPSO World Congress and has publicly participated in events such as OPTIMIZE, ADIPEC or FPSO Brazil.
