Insight Global is a global human resource consulting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia founded in 2001. Insight Global is a premier provider of employment and staffing solutions to Fortune 500 customers across the United States and Canada. It is one of the fastest growing and among the top 5 providers of information technology, accounting, finance and engineering staffing solutions throughout North America. [1] They provide long-term, short-term, temporary-to-permanent, placement staffing, and enhanced staffing services. Insight Global completes more than 60,000 placements annually[2] in short-term, long-term, contract-to-hire, and direct placement positions through their network of more than 63 regional offices across the U.S. and Canada. The company has over 3,000[3] experienced Recruiters and Account Managers that cover all skillsets and industries. They handle the search, candidate curation, onboarding, and payroll. Insight Global has a variety of divisions. The company operates through four segments: temporary and consultant staffing, permanent placement staffing, managed services, and culture consulting. Through it's staffing services Insight Global focuses on information technology, accounting and finance, government, healthcare, and engineering. Their managed services division helps clients design processes, build teams from scratch, and manage them. They source high quality talent on demand and turn development projects into finished products that support businesses. Born from their very own cultural transformation, is the culture consulting arm of the company called Compass. Compass offers a suite of workshops and engagements designed to help teams leverage the power of culture to meet the specific challenges of this time.

The company's founding was in 2001. Founder, Glenn Johnson and Scott Maddden started the company out of Glenn's basement in Atlanta, Georgia. After working in the staffing industry for many years, Glenn had a different vision of what a staffing company should be. Soon after Insight Global’s founding in 2001, the company opened offices in Raleigh, D.C., Ft. Lauderdale, Dallas, Boston, and Silicon Valley. In 2006 and 2007 the company was ranked #1 as The Fastest Growing IT Staffing Companies.[6] 2010 rolled around and Richard Lingle and Joel Givan launched the National Accounts Division at Insight Global. Insight Global officially hit 1,000 employees in 2012 and had 14,000 annual staffing placements.

In 2014, the Managed Services and Direct Placement Divisions were launched and Insight Global was named The 4th Largest IT Staffing Company by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA)[7]. SIA also ranked Insight Global as the 19th largest staffing firm in the country across all sectors, and one of the fastest growing staffing firms in the country with a 37.1% annual growth rate.[8] Insight Global acquired Monument Consulting in 2014, an HR consulting firm who handles execution of full outsourced and managed programs, which is now a subsidiary of the company.

In an effort to assist Insight Global's client's ever-growing needs the Accounting, Finance and Engineering division which was founded by Bert Bean officially launched in 2015. In the past, Insight Global had primarily provided a variety of Information Technology resources to its clients, but has also staffed skillsets across the spectrum and to clients industry wide. The AF&E division was put in place to aid in accounting, finance, and engineering placements on a broader scale.

CEO, Glenn Johnson retired in 2018 after 17 years as Founder and CEO and soon after that Bert Bean became CEO. Bert started as a Recruiter in the Atlanta office in 2005, and served in multiple leadership roles before the promotion upon Glenn Johnson’s retirement. Johnson announced the promotion at Insight Global's 2018 National Sales Conference in Orlando on January 13th.[9]

Insight Global added the Emerging Markets division in 2018, for the purpose of the continued organic growth of the company. The company exceeded 3,000 internal employees in 2018 and launched Insight Global University. Insight Global University is currently focused on education of internal employees, both in the field and in corporate.[10]

With the healthcare industry facing unprecedented labor shortages in 2019, Insight Global stepped up to fill employment gap through Iaunching a new division Insight Global Health. IGH is made up of 11 markets, spanning 32 current Insight Global offices. Its founding team includes market leaders, account managers, recruiters, and nurse consultants. Specializing in the unique needs in each region, every IGH market represents key cities where healthcare workers are in highest demand.[11] The company also partnered with Leukemia & Lyphoma Society in 2019 and raised $650,000 for the National Philanthropy. Insight Global was ranked One of The Worlds Largest Staffing & Recruiting firms in 2019 [12] and claimed a spot on Fortunes 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials and Best Workplaces For Women [13]

In 2020, Insight Global launched the Family Foundation program to assist IG’s In-House team and family of consultants. Since launching in January 2020, IGFF has granted more than $620,000 to help 100 people and their families, just when they needed it the most.[14]

by the end of 2021, Insight Global had a total of 62 offices spread across 33 U.S. states, the District of Columbia and two Canadian provinces. [15] The company was also named Best Workplace for Parents in 2021 by Great Place to Work™[16]
