The Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, often abbreviated as IGGP, is a historic two-story academic building located at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, now part of the University of California, San Diego in San Diego, California. Constructed in 1963, it was built on a seaside cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, northeast of the downtown area of the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego. It currently houses several classrooms and laboratories for undergraduate geophysics and planetary physics. It was designed and built by architect Lloyd Ruocco using California Redwood which was placed on a cast-iron foundation.
