Institute of Policy Studies (New Zealand)
The Institute for Governance and Policy Studies (formerly the Institute for Policy Studies) is a policy studies think tank founded in 1983 at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.[1]
The Institute for Governance and Policy Studies (IGPS) was established in 1983 as the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) at Victoria University of Wellington. When the School of Government was formed in 2002, the IGPS became its ‘window’ for applied research, discussion and publication. Ongoing research at IGPS covers the fields of government decision-making, governance & management, and public policy.[2] Previous directors include Jonathan Boston (2008-2012) and Michael Macaulay (2013-present). IGPS publishes Policy Quarterly, a quarterly journal of accessible policy writing targeted at policy professionals.[3]
