The Institute of Project Management is an educational institution specialising in project management. It was established in 1989 by Edward Naughton, a winner of Distinguished Contribution to Project Management.[2] [3] The institute became the first project management professional body in Republic of Ireland. It engages in certification, education and research in project management.
Courses and training[edit]
The Institute of Project Management offers short courses as well as intensive training and certification programmes.[4] Those programmes are validated by Technological University Dublin for Special Purpose Award on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). The NFQ is an Irish single national entity, by which all education and training can be included and compared.[5]
The Institute is the national association representative in Ireland for the International Project Management Association (IPMA).[6] The IPMA manages a Four-Level Certification scheme with several assessment steps described in the International Certification Regulation (ICR).[7]
