Interaction Design and Architecture(s) (IxD&A) is a diamond open access quarterly interdisciplinary peer-reviewed academic journal covering researches at the cross border of several disciplines: Interaction Design and Human-Computer Interaction, Design and Architecture, Educational Technology and Technology Enhanced Learning, and Social Science.
Publication history[edit]
Interaction Design and Architecture(s) was established in 2005 as an independent printed journal published by the MIFAV of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. In Winter 2012 the publisher became the Scuola IaD of the same university and the journal started the OA online publication. Since 2021 IxD&A is published by the ASLERD (Association for Smart Learning Ecosystems and Regional Development). On the occasion of the publishing of issue N.47 IxD&A inaugurated the video era of the journal by publishing video integrations of the e-printed papers (authors' presentations of the published papers), and opened its own Youtube channel. The online version is still hosted by University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. Open access to all published issues is granted without any subscription or registration through the IxD&A journal website. Since March 2022 IxD&A Journal assigns a DOI (Digital object identifier) to all issues and published papers, since the publisher became a member of Crossref.[1][not in citation given] The deposit of DOIs has been back-extended until issue N. 33.

Interaction Design and Architecture(s) is abstracted and indexed in Scopus,[2] ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index - Web of Science, Clarivate), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and DBLP.

According to the SCImago Journal Rank, Interaction Design and Architecture(s) journal has a 2021 indicator of 0.353.[3] It is ranked in Q1 for Architecture/Design (32nd position), Q2 in Media technology (25th position) and Social Science (246th position), Q3 Human-Computer Interaction (86th position) and Computer Science Application, Q3 in Education.
