InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is a luxury hotel in downtown Bellevue, Washington, operated by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The property opened in June 2024 as part of the Avenue Bellevue mixed-use development. At launch, it was marketed as InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue before adopting its current branding in 2025.[1][2][3]
History
Plans for the hotel were announced in 2018 as part of the billion-dollar Avenue Bellevue project led by Fortress Development.[4] The 26-story east tower was designed by Seattle architecture firm Weber Thompson and built by PCL Construction.
The hotel opened in June 2024 under the name InterContinental Bellevue at The Avenue, with 208 guest rooms, meeting spaces, and multiple dining outlets.[5][6]
In mid-2025 the property was rebranded as InterContinental Seattle Bellevue, aligning with IHG’s naming convention of identifying hotels with the nearest major city.[7]
Facilities
The hotel occupies the lower floors of Avenue Bellevue’s east tower. Above it are the Avenue Estates condominiums. Facilities include:[8]
- 208 guest rooms and suites
- Multiple restaurants and lounges
- Event and meeting spaces
- A fitness center and wellness amenities
Significance
The hotel is the first InterContinental property in the Pacific Northwest and part of IHG’s strategy to expand luxury offerings in major U.S. metropolitan areas.[9]
