International Radar Symposium

International Radar Symposium (IRS) is an international scientific conference that is organized every year since 1998.

The IRS has evolved from German Radar Symposium (GRS) and until 2003 was organized in Germany. In 2004 the IRS was for the first time organized in Poland (Warsaw) in the frame of Microwave and Radar Week (MRW) together with MIKON conference. Since this year the IRS has been organized in even years in Poland by Polish Radar Society - Polish Academy of Science, Microwave and Radiolocation section of Committee of Electronic and Telecommunication, and in odd years in Germany by German radar society associated with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ortung und Navigation (DGON) - German Institute of Navigation. with exceptions in 2010 (Vilnius, Lithuania) and 2018 (Germany).
