International Scooter Association (ISA)
The World Scooter Championship governed by the ISA[1]
The International Scooter Association hosted its first-ever world scooter championship final at Evolution Extreme Skatepark, Deeside, North Wales, on October 27th/28th 2012. Dakota Schuetz (Kota) won the pro level competition and became the first-ever world pro scooter champion.
Qualification system
The World Scooter Championship is made up of 3 regional championships, North America, Australasia and Europe. Each regional hosts 6 qualifying competitions and a regional final. The top riders from each regional final secure a place in the ISA World Scooter Championship. The World Scooter Championship has a total of 50 riders.
Wild Cards
The ISA allocates a number of wild cards to competitions that aren't in the regional championships and are independent competitions. The winning rider will get a wild card, which means he or she secures a place in the world scooter championship final. The ISA can also allocate a wild card to a rider under special circumstances.
Park
The ISA World Scooter Championship is focused on park riding. Park riding is riding on ramps, such as those found at skateparks.
Male and Female
The world scooter championship from 2012 to 2018 was mixed (male and female). Both male and female riders took part in the same competitions. However, in 2019 and the World Roller Games, the ISA recognised the first-ever all-male and all-female championship finals. The prize money of €16,000 was split equally between male and female.

In July 2019, the International Scooter Association was recognised by World Skate who co-hosted the world scooter championship at the World Roller Games (WRG), in Barcelona.
Memberships
The ISA is supported by the scooter industry, who are members of the association. Members invest in the sport and riders, as well as providing input and voting on divisive matters affecting the sport.
ISA Board of Directors
The current ISA board of directors includes Phil Grice (President) and Terry Price (Vice President).
There is also a rider committee and regional representatives as listed on the ISA website.
