International Society for Human and Animal Mycology

International Society for Human and Animal Mycology or ISHAM is a worldwide organisation of medical mycologists, clinical scientists and fundamental researchers with interest in fungal diseases. It was founded in 1954 during the VIII International Botanical Congress of Paris . Thirty four associations of medical mycologist from different centuries are affiliated with it. it is a recognized non-governmental affiliate of the World Health Organization. Arunaloke Chakrabarti is its current President.[1][2]
