Internet Killed Television (also known as CTFxC) is a web series hosted by Charles Trippy. The series featured Trippy's ex-wife Alli Speed. Speed was featured in the video blogs from May 1, 2009, to April 7, 2014. The series also includes Trippy's dogs Zoey and Marley. Speed's dog 'Chico' was included in the video blogs for a short period of time. The video blogs now include Trippy's second wife Allie Wesenberg Trippy and her dog Diesel. Wesenberg Trippy made her first appearance in June 2014. The video blog follows daily events.[2][3] Some events that have been documented in this series include Trippy's courtship, marriage, cancer battle, and divorce.

The series consists of vlogs averaging between 10–15 minutes that are filmed, edited, and then uploaded daily to Trippy's YouTube channel (CTFxC). It was originally planned to last for only one year. After four years, they entered Guinness World Records for the most consecutive daily video blogs posted on YouTube. As of May 1, 2018, Trippy completed nine years straight of daily vlogging without missing a single day and has continued into Year 10.[4]

Production[edit]

Videos are usually filmed the day before uploading to his YouTube channel and generally shot with a Canon PowerShot ELPH 340 HS although he was switched to the Canon PowerShot G7X as of late November 2014.[5] Charles occasionally films using a GoPro. Trippy has also used a Flip UltraHD camcorder, Canon ELPH model's Powershot D780IS, Powershot SD4500IS, ELPH Powershot 300 HS, ELPH Powershot 110 IS, ELPH Powershot 330 HS, and various versions of the iPhone.[6] As of 30 Aug, 2017, the CTFxC channel has 1,486,178 subscribers and 750,445,926 views.[7]

On March 11, 2012 Trippy announced in a live show that he is now the permanent bassist of the band. On April 7, 2014, Trippy announced his separation with Alli Speed.[14]
