Interpack
The interpack is an international trade fair for the packaging industry and related process industries. It takes place every three years at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. The event is organized by Messe Düsseldorf.[1]
History
The first interpack opened on March 2, 1958. At that time, 255 companies from nine countries presented their products at the exhibition grounds at Ehrenhof. The first trade fair attracted 32,544 visitors. The second interpack trade fair took place in 1960. After that, a three-year cycle was introduced.[2]
interpack 2017 attracted 2,866 exhibitors and 170,899 visitors from 169 countries.[3]
interpack 2023 attracted 2,728 exhibitors and approximately 142,000 visitors from 156 countries.[4][5]
Concept
The interpack is primarily aimed at trade visitors from the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, confectionery & bakery, consumer goods (non-food), industrial goods, cosmetics, services, logistics, and transportation sectors.[6]
