Interstudy is an educational organization that facilitates study abroad opportunities in South Africa, Botswana, Ireland, and the UK. As a stand alone institution, offering one or more education abroad opportunities, Interstudy is a study abroad provider.[1] Interstudy is a division of International Studies Abroad (ISA), based out of Austin, TX.

History[edit]

Interstudy was founded in 1980 by Robert Collins and Roy Thomas focusing first on exchanges between American students and UK institutions.[2] The study abroad organization's programs are part of the direct-enroll model of study abroad, meaning students study in the same classes as degree-seeking, full-time, students in the host country. The company partnered with schools in Ireland soon after foundation, and moved to Southern Africa in 1995. All Interstudy programs are in English speaking countries. In 2012, Interstudy joined the International Studies Abroad (ISA) family.
