InvestSure[edit]
Based in Johannesburg South Africa, InvestSure is a technology company. It uses its software to enable partner investment platforms to sell its Investment Insurance product to their clients.
Investment Fraud Insurance[edit]
InvestSure is the creator of an insurance product that enables holders of listed instruments to manage their exposure to the risk of investment losses caused by management fraud and dishonesty. Dishonesty by management is one the most difficult risks to assess when making investment decisions. Evidenced by many cases throughout the world e.g. Enron (USA), Volkswagen (Germany/USA) and Steinhoff (South Africa/Netherlands)- if a hint of fraud in a company hit the media, whether true or false, it can spark panic and rapidly destroy the value of a company.
Insurance Technology[edit]
InvestSure provides a set of APIs that trading platform developers can use to integrate the Investure Investment Indemnity product seamlessly into their websites and mobile applications. Once InvestSure technology is added to a trading platform, it enables users to easily buy insurance on their shares with a single click. The full process from buying to insurance to settling claims is fully automated.

South African entrepreneurs Mbulelo Mpofana, Shane Curran and Ignitious Nkwinika founded InvestSure in 2017 after Mbulelo and Shane developed a business case around an idea Shane first conceived in March 2016. In June 2017, the InvestSure team presented their business case and received funding from Compass Insurance, InvestSure won R1 million in enterprise grant funding from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in October 2017. InvestSure secured South Africa's fastest growing and lowest cost trading platform Easy Equities as its first distribution channel, ahead of launching the product to Easy Equities clients in April 2018, after a private beta.
