Iosif Steiner

Iosif Steiner (born Vlad Palica) was born on the 16th of November 2001, in Alexandria, southern Romania. He is a Romanian writer of Jewish origin, having graduated his bachelor studies in France at SciencesPo Paris.

A single child in a family of intellectuals, his father is a surgeon and his mother a teacher. Steiner moved to Bucharest at an early age and did much of his education in the capital city before leaving for France in 2020 on a bachelor program at the prestigious SciencesPo Paris. He also studied one year in Switzerland at the University of Geneva.

In autumn 2023, Steiner published his first book, Les étapes du mensonge, an essay on contemporary politics whose goal is raising awareness about the slippery slope on the path of an authoritarian society. Both far left and far right policies from Western and Central-East Europe are being discussed in separate chapters.
