Iqbal Mahmud(ইকবাল মাহমুদ), the most popular Islamic singer, songwriter, composer, and entrepreneur in Bangladesh, was born on September 10, 1995, in the village of Goriadangga, Post: Parulia, Thana: Devhata, District: Satkhira. From a young age, Iqbal Mahmud showed a keen interest in music, particularly Islamic singing, which led him to pursue a career in this field.

In January 2007, Iqbal Mahmud embarked on his singing journey. It was Abdul Muin, his first singing teacher, who recognized his potential and provided him with the opportunity to become a great Islamic child singing artist in 2007. In 2008, Iqbal Mahmud participated in an Islamic singing competition where he had the chance to meet his mentors, Abul Kalam Azad and Aynuddin Al Azad. Inspired by their guidance, Iqbal Mahmud joined Kalarab 2008, one of Bangladesh's most popular Islamic singing organizations, under the mentorship of Abdul Muin and Aynuddin Al Azad. Abul Kalam Azad expressed his interest in producing a song by Iqbal Mahmud, which led to the release of his first audio and video album, 'Shahidi Maran Chai.' However, it was his song 'Kafon Amar Apon' that catapulted him to a new level of popularity.
Over the years, Iqbal Mahmud has released several successful albums, including "Madina Jiyarate Jabo" in 2009, "Kobul Koro Moree" in 2010, and "Shopono" in 2011. He is also the founder of 'Melodians,' the most renowned Islamic music label in Bangladesh. Additionally, Iqbal Mahmud serves as an Assistant Organization Director at Kalarab Shilpigosthi.
