Iran 2025 Horizon Vision
Iran 20-Year Vision (Persian:سند چشم انداز ۱۴۰۴ ایران), also known as Iran 2025 Horizon, is a national program by Iranian government.[1][2]
Iran’s strategic plan—called the Twenty-Year National Vision, or Vision 2025—outlines political, economic, and social goals that facilitate its broader ambition: becoming the West Asia’s top power by the year 2025. More specifically, the plan seeks to create a progressive, knowledge-based society with economic growth based on a large portion of human and social capital, and growth of human and social capital through education and economic capacity building. Creating this knowledge-based society requires Iran to prioritize the generation and transfer of knowledge, technology, jobs, and foreign investment.[3][4][5]
More than 25 countries have been named as Iran's regional competitors in this document.[6][7]
History
This document is the most important legal document after the Iranian Constitution.
This document was created by more than 400 experts in Expediency Discernment Council by order of the Supreme Leader of Iran and was signed by him in 2002.[8]
