Script error: No such module "AfC topic".Ireland on Craic is an Irish satire website created by Paul Molloy and based in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. It features satirical news stories on national and international topics as well as surreal comedy articles.
History[edit]
Ireland on Craic (pronounced 'crack') was launched in December 2016 along with its Facebook page which has grown steadily over the years and currently has over 46,000 followers. The page publishes several articles per week focusing mainly on current events. In February 2023 the website published a story claiming singer Sam Smith had threatened to cancel a concert in Manchester until the city was renamed Themchester. The article was shared globally with most people believing it to be true. Other notable headlines include 'Minister for Education says English results could have been gooder' and 'NASA delays moon rocket launch until after dark so astronauts can see the moon.'
