Irfan Khan (critical care specialist)

Irfan Khan (November 3, 1979) is an American pediatric intensivist and physician. Khan holds an M.B.B.S from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. He completed his residency at the University of Buffalo in 2009 and currently operates as a Medical Director of PICU and ECMO units. Khan has contributed to literature surrounding critical care nephrology, particularly in extracorporeal treatment of exogenous intoxication and continuous renal replacement therapy[1].
Khan is a proponent for the use of ECMO in Covid-19 infected patients.[2]
Career[edit]
Khan finished a three-year fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Upon transferring to Presbyterian hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Khan has served as Vice Chief of Pediatrics since 2017.
Personal Life[edit]
Khan owns and helps operate Apna Bazaar, an Indian grocery store located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also a franchisee of Bawarchi Biryanis and has operated the New Mexico branch since 2022.[3]
