Isaac Newton Academy is a mixed all-through school in the London Borough of Redbridge. The school has academy status. The secondary school opened in September 2012,[1] with the primary school opening soon after in September 2014.[2] Isaac Newton Academy is run by Ark Schools, a multi-academy trust running a network of 38 schools in the UK as of February 2021.[3]
Organisation[edit]
As of September 2020 the primary school has three forms in each year group from Reception to Year 6 with 90 students in each year group. The secondary school has 1200 students, including 250 sixth form students.[2] A total of 1830 students attend Isaac Newton Academy.
Results[edit]
The school was rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2014.[4] In 2018 the school was again rated by Ofsted as 'Outstanding'[2][5] following another inspection after the addition of the primary school and sixth form.
Uniform[edit]
A uniform is compulsory for Isaac Newton Academy students from reception upwards. This consists of a charcoal grey blazer with the school logo, grey suit trousers, plain white shirt, a grey v-neck jumper or cardigan, and striped tie. Girls also have the option of wearing a grey skirt instead of trousers, or a shalwar kameez in the school colours in place of the full uniform.[6]
