Isaiah Oghenevwegba Egedegbe, also known as Isaiah Oghenevwegba Ogedegbe,[1][2] is a Nigerian pastor and blogger based in Warri.[3] He is associated with the Gihon City Bible Church in Warri,[4][5][6][7][8] where he serves under the senior pastor of the ministry, Rev. Dr. Lawrence O. Agbirekomi (JP),[1][2] and his wife, Pst. Mrs. Evelyn Agbirekomi.[7]
Early life
Ogedegbe was born prematurely on the 14th of June, 1991, in Warri.[9] He is an Isoko man, who hails from Oghara-Iyede in the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, in Nigeria.[9][10]
He started his primary education at Caveginia Primary School, in Warri, from 1997 to 2003, and continued his secondary education at Dore Numa College, also in Warri, from 2003 to 2008.[9][10] While he was still a student of Dore Numa College, he was very active in the Scripture Union; which led to his appointment as the Scripture Union president in 2008.[9][10]
Works
As a religious writer, Ogedegbe is one of the Nigerian great voices that influence some people with his religious articles, where he has condemned April Fools' Day celebration,[11][12] where he has preached on the individual on whom God bestows dominion,[1] and how a man of honour should live.[2] Because he has delivered prophecies over the years, he continues to be seen as a person with accurate prophetic ability.[13][14] It seems that it is because of this he is regarded as one of the very young but accurate with his prophecies.[10]
As a social commentator, he is credited with writing a poem in honour of South Africa's late ex-president Nelson Mandela,[15][16] and several tributes on other Nigerian public figures like Cornelius Adam Igbudu,[3][17][18] T. B. Joshua,[19][20][21] Johnson Suleman,[22] Junior Pope,[23][24][25][26] Onyeka Onwenu,[27] and Edwin Clark.[28][29][30][31]
