Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein (English: Through Gestures) is an Indian television series that premiered on 15 July 2019 on Sony Entertainment Television. The show is created by Qissago Telefilms LLP and produced by Ishrat Ara and Zama Habib. Starring Mudit Nayar, Debattama Saha and Simran Pareenja. The story is set in the alleys of Chawri Bazar, Old Delhi. Indian Idol 10 finalist Ankush Bhardwaj has lent his voice to the title track of this show Ek Chup Tum, Ek Chup Main. It is available on SonyLIV.

The series halted on 30 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis, and later was announced that the show would not be coming back post the coronavirus pandemic. The show was last aired on 31 March 2020 with 187 episodes.

Plot

Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein is the story of Yogi, a hearing-impaired man whose spirited way of handling his own disability and the acceptance of the same by his family is inspiring. While the world has not been transitioned from "disabled" to "differently abled", Yogi sets an example by celebrating life to the fullest. He wants to fall in love, get married and lead a jubilant life. This story traces his boy to man journey of falling in love, getting his heart broken and finding love in the most unexpected corner. Love; that is not like him but that completes him.

Yogesh Shrivastava (Yogi) live in a beautiful house in old Delhi along with family including his father Prakash Shrivastava , mother Kusum Shrivastava , grandparents Om and Geeta Shrivastava, brother Vivek , sister-in-law Rani, sister Khushi. Prakash nephew Kabir and his wife Nisha also live with them. Yogi is the apple of eyeryone's eye. Yogi is deaf and dumb since birth but never lets his disability make him lag behind in any way. He is very jovial and lives life to the fullest. He loves playing football but often gets scolded by Prakash who continually tells him to focus on their electronic repair shop. Yogi's brother Vivek is a drama artist while his sister-in-law Rani is a school teacher. Yogi is the apple of eyeryone's eye. Yogi is deaf and dumb since birth but never lets his disability make him lag behind in any way. He loves playing football but often gets scolded by Prakash who continually tells him to focus on their electronic repair shop. Yogi's brother Vivek is a drama artist while his sister-in-law Rani is a school teacher. Even after his father's continuous lectures to focus on their shop, Yogi often ends up day dreaming. One day, while working in the shops he sees a beautiful girl, Gunjan Sharma passing by. He falls in love at first sight and follows her until he collides with a girl, Dr. Parineeti Ganguly (Pari) riding a scooty outside their colony. He misses the chance to meet Gunjan, while Pari being in hurry picks up her scooty and goes away accusing him unaware that Yogi is deaf and dumb. Next day, Yogi again follows Gunjan passing by his shop. He is mesmerized by her beauty and follows her until he again collides with Pari's scooty again at the same place. He again misses meeting Gunjan. This time Pari confronts him and asks for a hefty amount for damages caused her scooty. He even blackmails Yogi that if didn't give her the money she will accuse him of teasing her in front of the public gathered. While she was busy talking to a man in the public, Yogi quietly escapes from there leaving Pari baffled. After a few days, Yogi's happiness knows no bounds when he gets to know that his marriage has been fixed by her parents to the same girl he has been following these days. Yogi and his parents visit visit Gunjan's house. Gunjan belongs to a very wealthy family. Her mother's name is Seema and her father Shiv Kumar Sharma is Prakash's childhood friend. It is revealed that Gunjan lost his voice when she was young in a accident and therefore cannot speak. Yogi and Gunjan bond at their first official meeting. Yogi's father strictly tells him to not meet Gunjan before marriage. One day, when Gunjan was passing by their house in a rickshaw, Yogi follows her on his cycle. Unlike before, Gunjan is aware about it and appreciates his effort. His happiness is short-lived as he again collides with Park's scooty. Pari gathers people so that Yogi can't escape this time. Yogi tries to explain her that he is deaf and dumb but she doesn't listen believe him . Gunjan tries to help him but when he sees Prakash coming and she quickly escapes in the rickshaw as Yogi and she were not supposed to meet before marriage. Prakash intervenes in Yogi and Pari's fight. Prakash tells Pari that Yogi indeed can't speak or hear. But this doesn't change her mind. She still manages to take money from Prakash for Yogi damaging her scooty which indeed was not so damaged. Prakash blames Yogi for the money he had to give away to Pari. Pari revealed to be a very bubbly, modern girl and a dedicated doctor. She is from Kolkata and loves Bengali food. He often goes partying with her friends and also likes drinking occasionally. Because of her habit of coming late night from parties, her land lord throws her luggage out of the house. While she was riding the scooty with all her luggage, she collides with Yogi's grandfather Om Shrivastava. He gets a bit injured and Pari offers to drop him home. When they reach home, Yogi and Pari identify her. While she was inside the house doing Om's dressing, her luggage disappears from her scooty. She creates a big scene in front of the entire neighbourhood. Her pleas melt Om and Geeta's heart and they allows her to stay with them as a paying guest. However, Yogi and other family members are against the idea. Finally Pari is given Yogi's room which is on the terrace and Yogi has been shifted to the drawing room. Yogi is terrified to see Pari working in the hospital when he secretly tries to meet Gunjan there. Pari collides with Yogi and Pari while walking in the corridor and the three of them fall, Pari again creates a scene claiming Yogi of following her everywhere in front of his in-laws. Khushi and Yogi somehow control the situation. One day, when Pari comes back from partying which she claimed as a late night shift in the hospital, Yogi takes advantage of not being able to hear and doesn't open the main door of the house for her despite seeing her knocking since a long time. The entire family being asleep could not listen to her voice. Yogi thinks that he has taught her a lesson until he sees Pari entering the terrace of the house by climbing the pipe. That day Yogi realizes that it is not easy to kick Pari out of the house. Initially Yogi and Pari had fights on every small thing but they begin to become friends when Pari offers to make Yogi meet Gunjan in her hospital. Pari even saved Yogi and Gunjan from embarrassing situations and helped him propose to Gunjan. Yogi occasionally found Pari crying alone on the terrace whenever she received a call from her parents. It is revealed that her parents never loved her and always fought with each other, thus failing to give Pari a normal childhood. Slowly, Pari begins to bond with the entire Shrivastava family. One day, Pari overhears that she would have to go from the house when Yogi will get married because Gunjan and he will live in Yogi's room. Pari gets scared and tries to convince Gunjan to allow her to live in the Shrivastava house who in turn convinces Yogi. Yogi shifts Pari with her sister, Khushi. On the day of the engagement, Pari accidentally wears the engagement ring for Gunjan following a hilarious set of events in which Yogi tries to chop Pari's finger, Gunjan pretends to faint, Pari roaming around wearing surgical gloves in the house full of guests. Pari and Yogi's friendship grows stronger after this incident. In between the wedding celebrations, Rani behaves strangely. Yogi overhears a conversation between Rani and Vivek in which Rani reveals that her uncle who molested her in her childhood is invited at Yogi's wedding. Later Yogi promises Rani that he will not let anything happen to her. Yogi's family who is unaware of this welcomes Rani's uncle with a warm heart. When Yogi finds Rani's uncle going into Rani's room, he warns him. Later, Pari schools Rani's uncle for looking at her inappropriately . Rani's uncle are attracted towards Khushi and try to come close to her. She reveals in front of the entire family that he was watching her while she was changing. Rani and the women of the house beat him up and he is thrown out of the house. Rani's parents are also asked to leave the house because Rani's mother knew about all this but still kept quiet for the sake of family's reputation. At the pre-wedding photoshoot, Yogi again collides with Pari while walking with Gunjan. Pari questions him that how is that he always collides with her. He replies that he can't see anything infront of Gunjan. Pari admires his love for Gunjan. Same day, Yogi runs and saves Gunjan from a falling chandelier in the nick of time. Shiv Sharma gets angry as Yogi could have shouted and saved Gunjan much before but since he can't speak he put Gunjan's life in danger. He thinks that Yogi is not a suitable match for Gunjan and cancels the wedding on the day of the wedding. Yogi is heartbroken but he does not let it show to cheer up the family, but Pari sees him crying like a child in the van parked outside their house. Pari feels sympathetic towards him but doesn't say anything at that moment. 's parents fix her wedding with another guy. When Yogi sees Gunjan with this guy passing by their colony and gets drunk. Yogi and his family make a plan of Yogi escaping with Gunjan and getting married. Pari helps Yogi with this and realizes that Gunjan was not involved in her father's decision of cancelling the wedding. However, when Yogi and Pari come to take her, Gunjan obedientlty stands by his father's decision and gets engaged to someone else. Pari and Vivek suggest Yogi to burn all the gifts and cards that Gunjan has sent him as it will help him get over her. While Yogi gets drunk with his brothers outside, Pari also gets convinces Rani and Nisha that it is harmless to drink occasionally. When the boys return home they are shocked to see the girls drunk. They wake them up before Prakash finds out. Meanwhile, Rani gets emotional when drunk and Vivek controls her and Yogi drags Pari to his room and blackmails her that he will complaint about this incident to Prakash. Pari in turn tells him that she will reveal that he too came drunk home if he tells anything to Prakash. Slowly, Yogi starts spending time with Pari along with his friends Babloo and Surjeet and they become drinking buddies. Pari bonds very well with the entire family. One day, Yogi mistakenly enters the bathroom because of the latch being broken where Pari was already present. She scolds him in front of the entire family. Yogi goes to her hospital to apologize to her where Pari's friend Neha finds Yogi very cute and he also flirts with her. Pari eventually forgives him when she sees him upset remembering his times spent with Gunjan in the hospital. On the day of Diwali, Kusum gifts Pari a dress and asks her to wear it in the evening. Pari becomes very happy as she has finally found the love which she did not get from her parents. Pari promises to help Khushi, Rani and Nisha in the Diwali preparation but has to rush to the hospital because of an emergency surgery but she promises to return till the time of Puja. The family waits for her but she gets late as the cases keep coming up and eventually misses the Puja. When she is about to leave for home, she is told by the nurse that she needs attend a patient, who has suffered burns, since their is no other doctor available at the moment. Though excited to celebrate Diwali and burn crackers, she decides to stay in the hospital and do her duty. She is shocked to see that the patient is Gunjan who has burned her hand when accidently her duppatta caught fire from a diya. The Shrivastava family asks Yogi to go and get Pari as she is really late. Yogi reaches the hospital to find Pari treating Gunjan and Gunjan wincing in pain as Pari was not going soft on her. Pari remembers Yogi crying for Gunjan and does the bandage along with indirectly taunting her for her betrayal. When Pari sees Yogi watching them, she daydreams of him scolding her for mistreating Gunjan and showing concern for Gunjan and hugging her. But in reality, Yogi completely ignores Gunjan and talks to Pari only and takes her home. Pari however feels guilty for her behaviour towards Gunjan. After Gunjan goes, Yogi asks Pari if Gunjan was fine who tells him that she will get well soon. Yogi tells Pari that she never keeps track of time and they leave the hospital playfully which is observed by Gunjan and Roshan. Shiv is happy that Roshan saw Gunjan's duppatta burn and alerted her in time unlike Yogi who could not speak and warn Gunjan about the falling chandelier. While burning crackers, an accident happens in which Pari faints and suffers a burn on her hand. Yogi takes her inside the house and applies antiseptic on her wounds the same way she did to Gunjan. Yogi signals Pari that he had warned her to be careful with crackers but she didn't listen to him but Pari misinterprets it and thinks that he is taking revenge from her for what she did to Gunjan. They end up having a fight and Yogi throws the first aid box in anger. Yogi sits outside the house and imagines himself lighting diyas with Gunjan, suddenly in his imagination Pari takes Gunjan's place and he gets confused. Next day, Pari and Yogi reconcile and Pari is happy to find out that Yogi was watching a video to learn how to tie a bandage. She tells him that he will only change her bandage and leaves. Same day Yogi sees Pari's mom bitching about Yogi's mother on a video call, and as a revenge he signals her mother that he is Pari's boyfriend. Pari's mother is shocked to learn this. Pari is asked by Yogi's family to draft a matrimonial ad for Yogi in a newspaper. Pari being Pari makes fun of Yogi but ends up writing good things about him. Seeing Pari struggling to carry a big box of research papers with her on the scooty, Kusum asks Yogi to drop her till the hospital. Yogi initially refuses and on seeing that the self startbof her scooty is not working, he kicks and starts her scooty for her. Pari is angry to see that he has no courtesy to even ask to drop her. Kusum insists Yogi to sit behind Pari holding the box till the hospital but Pari refuses the offer but later collides with Yogi's parked bicycle ahead. Yogi gets angry on her for being so stubborn and asks her to shift behind and decides to drive her till the hospital seeing her inability to drive properly. Yogi drives really fast making Pari scream. Kusum sees this and laughs out loud. In the hospital, Pari is treating a pregnant women whose mother-in-law insults Yogi and calls him bad luck for her daughter-in-law. Pari get really angry on her but agrees to treat the pregnant women on Yogi's request. Yogi meets Neha and both flirt with each other. Pari gets frustrated and asks Yogi to leave. Neha tells Pari that she has developed feeling for Yogi. However, Pari refutes her doubt. Suddenly, she hears some sound and goes out of her cabin to find out the matter. Due to a patient's death, his family gets violent and starts beating up the doctors. Pari tries to bring the situation under control by showing them the terms that the family signed before the operation was performed and telling them that they can't hold the doctors responsible. But the family is in uncontrollable and creates havoc. Seeing Neha coming out with the pregnant patient, Pari tries to save them and runs towards them asking them to go inside. But one of the patient's relative pushes her and she collides with the pregnant women who also falls. Angered by this, Pari slaps him. The patient's relative gets hold of Pari's burned hand while she pleads him to leave her. Outside the hospital, Yogi recalls that he left his phone in Pari's cabin and goes back to take it. Seeing, Pari's hand bleed,Yogi beats the person who was holding Pari's hand along with other people who were creating havoc in the hospital. Seeing the situation going out of control, Yogi grabs Paris's hand and prefers to run from there. They hide in the OT and lock it from inside. Yogi sees that Pari's hand has got injured really bad and changes its dressing. But this time he is very careful to not hurt Pari even a bit. Later, Pari and Yogi find out that someone has locked them from outside and Pari starts panicking. She asks Yogi to break the door who initially takes it as a joke but gets worried when he sees Pari restless. He asks her if it is because of her injury. Pari who finds it difficult to breathe refuses and tells him that she is claustrophobic and also that her parents used to lock her inside the room and go out for with their friends when she is a child. Yogi hugs Pari and tries to console her who breaks down in tears. Seeing Paris's condition worsening, Yogi takes her out through the AC duct. The hospital's news is broadcasted and Yogi's family gets worried as Yogi and Pari both do not answer their calls. Vivek, Babloo and Surjeet reach the hospital to check on Pari and Yogi but are not allowed to go inside. Shiv Kumar Sharma's family also sees the news and feel frustrated that they are not able to go away from their past. The doctors go on strike, however Pari's goes against the staff and treats the patients along with Neha. Yogi is impressesed by Pari and decides to help her. The patients mingle well with Yogi. Kusum is happy to see her Pari back safe and sound. Rani teases Yogi and Pari for being locked in one room for very long. Paris's mother sends a groom to meet Pari but Pari makes him run away telling him that Yogi is his boyfriend. Yogi decides to go to Surajkund with Babloo and Surgery for a picnic. Pari overhears this and shows interest to join them. But Yogi angrily refuses to take her along with him. When Pari threatens to tell Prakash about their plan, Yogi tells her to go ahead and tell him. When Pari leaves in anger, Yogi tells his friends that he did not agree to take Pari along with them because Pari's rishta got cancelled as she told the groom's family that he is her boyfriend and it not right for both of them to spend time oustide. Also, the place is unsafe for girls. Yogi leaves for the picnic along with Babloo and Surjeet without informing the family. Pari mistakenly tells Prakash about the picnic and he calls Yogi to come back home. Pari sits inside Yogi's room remembering the time she has spent with him. She realizes that she is falling in love with him. When Yogi returns, he gets angry on Pari for ruining his plans. They have a big fight on the terrace and Pari confesses her love to Yogi. Yogi is shocked to learn this. Before, Yogi could react Vivek and Rani take him with them. After this incident Yogi tries to ignore Pari as much as possible. Meanwhile, everyone is happy to know about Nisha's pregnancy. Nisha almost faints in fronts of Yogi and Rani runs and calls Pari. As soon as Pari comes to check up Nisha, Yogi leaves from there. Yogi's ignorance does not go well with Pari and she confronts him for making it obvious in front of evrybody. They again end up in a big fight where they vent their anger on each other. Their fight is disrupted in between as Pari's parents pay a surprise visit to her with them to Kolkata. Pari's mother doesn't want to be around Yogi. Pari tells her parents that she will not go with them as they do not love her and are taking her away for her property. But seeing Yogi's cold behaviour towards her, she agrees to go with her parents. Everyone gets sad to hear the news of Pari leaving except for Yogi who shows that he doesn't care. Kusum and Rani asks Yogi to give a saree to Pari as a farewell gift which she bought but he refuses and goes out of the room only to collide with Pari at the door. Thus continuing their tradition of bumping into each other in serious situations. Instead of helping, Yogi gets angry on her. Rani sees Yogi's extreme anger towards Pari and realizes that he loves her a lot. Rani confronts Yogi and tells him to confess his love before it's too late. Later, Yogi and Pari again end up fighting and falling on the ground. During the fall, Yogi finds the ring which he threw after his marriage with Gunjan got cancelled. Yogi proposes to Pari and makes her wear the ring. It is the same ring which Pari wore by mistake on Yogi's engagement day. Yogi and Pari cry their heart out and celebrate their togetherness on the terrace. While leaving, Pari kisses Yogi on his cheeks. Both Pari and Yogi daydream and dance around the house while everyone else sleeping. Pari dances in the living area imagining Yogi to be showering water on her but is caught by Dadaji. Pari makes and excuse of counting stars but he teases her by telling her that he often counted stars like this when she was young. Dadaji tells Dadi that she saw Pari dancing around in the house and that she could be in love. Next morning, Pari and Yogi gain progress in their romance as they flirt and meet each other hiding their relationship from the family. However, Rani, Vivek figure out the truth and begin teasing Yogi and Pari Dadaji and Dadi also develop a doubt and all are very happy about it as they all love Pari very much.
