Mysteries[edit]
Evidence of worship at early morning[edit]
It the temple, one can find rice and belpatra leaves offered to the shivalinga in the first quarter of the morning, even when no one comes here to worship after evening. It is prohibited to stay in the temple at night. No one has been able to know this mystery nor has been able to see it till date. People believe that, Vibhishana, the brother of Lankan ruler Ravana, had performed tapasya here in Treta Yuga. It is believed that even today during the month of Shravan, he visits the temple daily at 4:00 am in the morning to worship Lord Shiva. To solve this mystery, several media organizations visited here and installed their cameras there all night, but in the first half of the morning, various kinds of noise started coming and snakes and scorpions started coming out due to which they got frightened.[1][2][3]
Continuous natural Jalabhishek on shivalinga[edit]
Even when there is no source of water nearby, Abhishek is continuously done on the shivalinga with water stream.[1][2][3]
Belpatra leaves are unique[edit]
Mostly, 3 leaves are seen in the Belpatra. But in the temple, unique kinds of Belpatra are found. The vine leaves here have around 3 to 21 leaves.[1][2][3]
Mysteries not solved even after being guarded[edit]
King Pancham Singh of Pahargarh had set up a guard here, yet he cannot be able to figure out when and who comes here for worshipping.[1][2][3]
Pandavas also lived here[edit]
According to archeological officers, the Pandavas also stayed in the temple during their exile.[1][2][3]
