Isidra Vega (born March 23, 1979) is an American actress, of Spanish descent, born and raised in the Morningside Heights section of New York City. She attended school with Christina Ricci.[1]
Vega acted in the New York Undercover television series. She debuted as a movie actress in 1997, as 'Melena', in the critically acclaimed movie Hurricane Streets.[2] In that movie, the Boston Globe described her performance as "natural-seeming."[3] The New York Times felt that the confrontations between the character played by Vega and the character's father were "perfunctory and unidiomatic" in Hurricane Streets.[4]
Vega has gone on to play more adult characters in mostly independent features such as Gurinder Chadha's What's Cooking.[5]
Currently Isidra, produces animations on her YouTube account, Bad Dog Animations[6]
