The Islamic Center of Quad Cities (ICQC) is a masjid in Plano, Texas. It was opened in 2018, to serve Plano, Frisco, Allen, and McKinney.[1]
The current Imam of ICQC is Mufti Tawsif.
ICQC was created for the communities of Plano, Allen, Frisco, and McKinney, hence the name Quad Cities.[3]
Fundraiser
ICQC is currently buying a property in Frisco because their rent on the current property is running out in 2023.[4] ICQC members have gone to Frisco Masjid, Plano Masjid, Allen Masjid, McKinney Masjid, and EPIC Masjid to ask for donations. They have to buy the property by the end of April. The new location is at Northwest Corner of Lebanon Road & Batsford Drive, Frisco, Texas, 75035.[5]
Programs
Nazirah Program
ICQC has a Nazirah program where boys and girls 6 and older can learn how to read the Qur'an.[6] The classes are from Monday to Thursday and there are two classes from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and 6:30 - 7:30 PM.
Sunday School
ICQC had a Sunday School program until 2020, when the Coronavirus hit Plano. The Sunday School program was cancelled, but it will start again in 2023.[7]
Youth Events
The Youth program is active every week.[8] Every Wednesday, ICQC holds an annual boys youth program after Maghrib where Mufti Tawsif preaches about Islam. Afterwards the children play soccer or cricket. The current head of the Youth Program are Hassan Paracha and Zain Rahmani.[9]
Ramadan
Every Ramadan, more people pray at the musalla. Every Sunday, there is a community Iftar held after Maghrib.[10]
Facilities
The mosque has a wudu section and also has a bathroom.[11] There is lots of parking and a prayer hall for a wheelchair is accessible. There are different sections for men and women.
