Ismaila Salami Olasunkanmi is a Nigerian researcher and engineer. He specialises in ergonomics and the application of technologies to human anatomical, anthropometric, physiological, and biomechanical studies related to physical activity. He is dean of mechanical engineering and is a member of the academic community at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.[1][2][3]

Early life and education[edit]

In 1986, Olasunkanmi obtained his National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. He further pursued his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, graduating in 1990. He completed his Master of Science degree (MBS)and his Doctor of Philosophy(PhD) in Industrial and Production Engineering at the University of Ibadan in 2000 and 2006, respectively.[1]

Olasunkanmi was recognised with the Best National Diploma Graduating Student award and the Federal Government Postgraduate Scholarship. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institute of Industrial Engineers and Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.[1]
