Isobel Bel Wardle (born 30 December 1999) is an English professional golfer.

Amateur career[edit]

Wardle had a successful amateur career. In August 2021, Wardle won the English Women's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Wallasey Golf Club, finishing nine shots ahead of her nearest competitor...[1]. She also won the English Women's Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2017. This came a few weeks after coming second in the English Women's Amateur Championship losing only on the 37th hole to Australian Kirsten Rudgeley. Wardle also played at the St Rule Trophy at St Andrews Links in May 2021, coming in 4th position. Wardle was invited to play at the Augusta Women's National Amateur in 2020 which was subsequently cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, however, was re-invited to play in the spring of 2021 where she came 39th.[2]

Wardle was selected as a member of the 2018 Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup Team (however could not attend), and was also selected to represent team Europe in the Patsy Hankins Trophy in 2018. Wardle was also selected to represent Great Britain & Ireland in the Vagliano Trophy in 2019. Wardle attended the 2021 Curtis Cup at Conwy Golf Club as a travelling reserve for the Great Britain & Ireland team.

Wardle obtained first place in England Golf's Women's Order of Merit for 2021 [3]

Wardle reached 22nd in the Woman's Amateur Golf Rankings in 2019[4]
