Isocyanogen (or Cyanoisocyanogen) is the chemical compound with the formula CNCN, and can also be written as C-≡N+‒C≡N since a nitrogen atom donates an electron to a carbon atom and swaps places, unlike cyanogen's formula N≡C‒C≡N. It is an unstable isomer of cyanogen and a toxic gas.
