Isonzo is a squad-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game set during World War I.[1] It is the sequel to Verdun and Tannenberg and focusses on the Southern Front of WW1.[2][3][4][5] Isonzo will be released on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on September 13, 2022.[6][7][8][9]
Isonzo is inspired by the Battles of the Isonzo on the Italian Front which took place between 1915 and 1917. The game includes historically accurate World War I weapons, authentic uniforms and equipment, detailed injury and gore modeling, and maps based on the real battlefields of the Southern Front.[10][11]
The game runs on the Unity engine and is being developed by independent studios M2H and Blackmill Games.[12]
