Israel Feigelson (8 February 1921 Riga, Latvia - 19 August 1991 Tel-Aviv, Israel) was an operatic and concert singer.

Mr. Feigelson was a leading tenor at the Latvian National Opera from 1952 till 1963. He has appeared in major operatic roles including Don Jose (Carmen), Gerrald (Lakme), Lohengrin (Lohengrin), Hoffmann (Tales of Hoffmann), Count (Rigoletto), Alfred (La Traviata), Count Di Lerm (Don Carlos), Vodemon (Iolanta), and others. From 1963 till 1979, he performed in recitals and with numerous (36) orchestras and conductors (52) throughout former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He sang solo parts in Requiems by Mozart, Verdi and Liszt, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi and Dvorak, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Handel's Messiah, and other major works. The conductors included Kurt Sanderling, Neeme Jarvi, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Boris Khaikin, Kirill Kondrashin, Gunther Herbig, Hans Fricke. After emigrating with his family to Israel in 1979, Mr. Feigelson continued his appearances in solo recitals featuring both classical and Jewish folk music.

Born in Riga, Latvia in 1921 into family of a chocolate merchant, Israel Feigelson had his first singing experience appearing at a school operetta. In 1940, an entire family was sent to Siberia by the Soviet occupants. Following the Second World War, he was able to return back to Riga in 1948 and studied voice at the Jazep Vitol State Conservatory. He has married his wife, violinist Dina Feigelson (Hazan) in 1952. They are survived by two children, Yosif and Rafael.
